First off what do you guys think the chances are Justin King gets RS this season and comes into the 2014 as a starting OLB? We are going to assume for this question the Maggit stays healthy as well.

Second, what do you guys feel about the chances that Alden Hill becomes the premier short yardage/goal line back and has 4 or more TDs by the end of the year?

Third, what do you guys feel about the chances Croom becomes the dominate WR threat everyone knows he can be and becomes a huge threat in the redzone?

Four, what do you feel the chances are that Woody Quinn proves people like myself wrong and becomes a huge threat for us at TE?

Five, what do you guys feel the chances are Mt MC ripping off a can of whoop azz all season long and makes us all proud to be a VFL?

My take:
1: 50%
2. 80%
3. 90%
4. 50%
5. NOT EVEN A QUESTION 10000000% :rock::loco:

I don't see King being RS this year. I hope he gets plenty of PT so he will be ready to step up next year.

1. Probably fairly low. But it could happen.

2. No idea, but that would mean taking either Lane or Neal off the field, and that means less talent. Could happen, but I doubt it.

3. I’ve stuck my neck out and called for Croom to...dominate...and be dominant...ever since he was a recruit. Just don’t expect him to be Jerry Rice in the Austin Peay game. It could take a couple of years.

4. Depends on how hard he wants to work. He’s got all the physical tools, he just has to learn the plays and get out on the field and execute.

i think being the short yardage back will be more about Hill's skill set than talent. im not so sure he isnt a more talented rb, either. he looked great in the spring. lets see if he can ball out on game day.

You guys don't think that Alden Hill may actually be a step up from Lane/Neal at the RB position?

I know everyone is waiting on Rajion Neal to step up, but Lane runs HARD and Alden Hill showed tremendous vision in the spring. (Although it's only the spring and isn't always indicative)

It's about time those two stepped up, they are probably hearing Hill's foot steps right behind them. :hi:

The one thing that I like from Hill is that he didn't dance one time during the spring game, not once. He punished people trying to tackle him and ran pissed off.

If he does that he may very well be our short yardage guy while Neal and Lane will be used for screens and off tackle runs.

It would not be what they’ve done in the past. I get your point, and they could very well go with a hammer. It’s more likely that they’d put Peterman in there than another big back.

Has its moments. There were two times when if he’d bounced there were humongous gains to his right. He plowed through and got good yards, but if he’d bounced he would’ve gotten huge yards.

The defensive guys were playing the backs like they practiced. It was so obvious they played Hill to run inside and Neal to bounce outside. If you can teach the backs to read their blocks many happy fans will be cheering many cheap cutback runs from the Vols.

If the rating scale goes from 0% as being bad and 100% being awesome and 35% is pretty good I'm going to say Blue.
