I know we've discussed some of these before, but I just wanted to post them again to remind a few of what an amazing season we've had.

1. This season is the first time in about 20 years that TENNESSEE football has had 10 wins regular season play.

2. Since the start of TENNESSEE Football, over 130 years ago, there has ONLY been fourteen (14) 10 win seasons (regular season play). 5 of which were in a 15 year span of coach Fulmers tenure.

3. The SHUTOUT of Vandy on Saturday, was the first SHUTOUT for the VOLS of an SEC opponent in almost 20 years (2003 - Vandy)

10 wins during the regular season is NOT easy and nor is a SHUT-OUT of an SEC school, neither had been done in almost 20 years.

Coach Heupel found a "system" to do what had NOT been done in almost 20 years at TENNESSEE.

The future is BRIGHT! GBO

here is another stat, I drank 2-fifth's of Makers Mark this season celebrating. Once we beat Clemson in the bowl game I will make that a 3rd-fifth (sounds like a bank).
This season??? Obviously you didn’t celebrate enough!

And to think those A-holes in Gumpville have had 15 straight. God must pity those in that hole of a state.

I remember the Fulmer years as being over all good ones. We often were in the top 5 in recruiting and we were competitive on Saturdays. We were relevant nationally. We should have attracted better coaching candidates that we got when Fulmer left.

I count 20 seasons with 10 or more wins, which is an impressive 3rd most among SEC teams. Alabama has 41 seasons of 10 or more wins. The Defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs are 2nd with 27 seasons of 10 or more wins.

And 24 years since we last won the SEC title the longest drought ever in Tennessee football history the previous longest gap was 16 years from 1969-1985. I hope we can end that streak soon. Surprisingly we are still tied for second with Georgia with 13 SEC titles behind Alabama’s 29. The fact that we haven’t won a SEC title since 1998 and are still second all time just shows how rich a winning tradition we had in the 20th century of college football.

They were good as long Fulmer had cutcliffe as his OC…
