A few things from a former UWM student and Vols/Pearl fan

Ive been lurking for a while and finally just made an account. Bruce pearl has a charisma/ way about him that is naturally very likeable. He embraces the student body and brings everyone together. He did this very well at UWM.. Everyone loved him at UWM and he did very well with players that werent very good in High School. During our NCAA runs we had a 6'5 center, no PGs. We had to press the whole game to create enough tourneys to have enough chances to win.. I see alot of Pearl hating and maybe you guys don't appreciate him now, but if he ever leaves you certainly will because UWM has really dropped off the radar since he left. He is turning Tennessee into a powerhouse relatively overnight. Final 4s will come. He has the best recruiting class ever coming in and its only going to get better and better. Appreciate him because he truly is a world class coach/motivator.

Thanks for the insight, we never realized that!! He does create a lot of tournaments....I mean turnovers.

I love him as well...love his energy. But if we don't play a more disciplined approach in the tournament we won't last long. Regular season wins are awesome, but turnovers kill against quality teams in the NCAA. I am hoping for at the minimum an Elite 8 run.

I agree. I think all the "haters" would be regretting their "hate" big time if he left.

Tennessee will once again slip off the basketball map when he leaves.

Yes, Abslutely became a fan.. I could care less about Vols Football but I love Mens hoops. I told a friend last night im becoming die hard because every stupid turnover puts me in the worst mood but then Hopson will blow by a guy with a dunk and im happy again. Also, JP Princes cocky grin when he hasnt accomplished that much really pisses me off.. He could have 4 straight turnovers then get fouled, make 1 of 2 and he is messiah.

Love CBP. He has brought great energy to a once stagnant program, and I hope he is for a long time.

Welcome to the fold. Just don't say anything remotely negative about the team or coach, because negativity implies a lack of basketball knowledge.

What do you consider “Pearl hating”; are you one of those who feels Pearl is above all criticism?
