1. Great learning moment for my 10 year old. I told him it was always a great day when we beat Bama in anything. We then took turns listing everything we could think of until I added nose-picking and immediately realized we could never beat Bama in nose-picking.

2. Am I the only one who watches the UT basketball team and dreams of those two guns belonging to JP Prince? Has there ever been a guy wear the Orange who has a lower basketball IQ? That drive to the hoop with about 25 or 30 seconds left on the shot clock and 1:25 on the game clock is one of the stupidest decisions I have ever witnessed a college BB player make.

3. Kenny Hall is a STUD! I wish I could take credit, but I didn't sell Death-Star that weed. What a great complement this kid is going to be to Tobias Harris next season. He absolutely punishes the rim. Here is a relative of the rim after a Kenny Hall visit: :cray:

4. Vol fans everywhere shouldn't be asking whether Derrick Dooley would have gotten the job on the Hill without his last name. They should be asking whether Stephen Pearl would ever play any significant minutes in a game in Knoxville if his Daddy wasn't BRUCE...

5. Chism continues to be the no-holds-barred leader of this team. He is extremely difficult to defend in the low-post right now. Jamychal Green is no chump and Chism owned him when the refs didn't have him on the bench.

6. Alabama is not a good team (although JP Prince certainly made them better), but we were shorthanded on the road. This was a good win.

Any road win in the SEC is a "good" win, especially coming off the tough home stand we had. Wayne HAS to find a way to stay in the game, even when the refs are ticky-tacking him. JP continues to both frustrate (more often) and occasionally "wow." If he could do more of the latter, I'd have more faith in a strong run this season. Nice to see Hopson come back to life a little...I think he needs to gain confidence and really push to be a leader, both from the perimeter and going to the rim. I can't say enough good things about Hall. The sky's the limit for him...

Idk if Hall did it tonight, but his little baseline jumper is such a great weapon to have with his skillset down low.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone....
