Theo was only 4 years old when his family's village was attacked by Islamic extremists. His father was killed in the attack. Today Theo lives at the Caleb House, a children's home supported by The Voice of the Martyrs for children who have become victims of Christian persecution in Indonesia.

Every year The Voice of the Martyrs selects a country to distribute Christmas Care Packs to children whose families have been persecuted for their faith. This year we have selected Indonesia, and we invite you to sponsor a Christmas Care Pack or even a Village Outreach Pack. Imagine the joy on Theo's face, and other children like him, when they receive a Christmas present they know was sponsored by a caring Christian family in the USA.

There was an Angel Tree drive just recently in Nashville and is still ongoing if I'm not mistaken. They raised quite a bit of stuff.

Still though, what the man said about western apathy for the oppressed of the world rings true.

I fail to see that one option is better than the other when there are those who can certainly afford to do both without creating one bit of hardship on their own families.

Every local church in the area in which I live has lots of clothing, food and toys that are available year round for those in need. In other parts of the world there is nothing at all available of that sort.
