As the Vol baseball team travels to Houston, one player in particular is looking forward to the trip more than most. Junior centerfielder Chris Fritts, a Houston native, is especially excited about traveling to his hometown to play in the Houston College Classic this weekend.

Chris Fritts in his junior year with New Coach Serrano is having his best year for the Vols. I hope that he can continue to shine in the first road games.

11 of 18 vs Seton Hall getting on base.

Fritts had a good day going 2 for 4 with a double and scored a run. However, the VOls lost 7-4. Will be tough to win any games this weekend as Houston was probably the most winnable opponent.

Barring a surprise. The Vols will not face as good a starter pitcher as they did tonight. Rice had not decided on a starter last time I checked. We faced one of the top 2 pitchers in this event and will not face anyone of this caliber until we get to Florida series.
