Judge Dismisses Charges Against UT Punter
Posted: 8/4/2004 10:26:04 AM
A judge in Knoxville dismissed two alcohol-related charges against Tennessee punter Britton Colquitt, brother of All-American punter Dustin Colquitt.
Britton Colquitt, of Knoxville, was indefinitely suspended from the team this spring. He faced charges stemming from three incidents last September and another this March.
Colquitt pleaded guilty to two underage consumption charges from separate incidents.
He will have his record expunged if he does not get into any more trouble, completes 100 hours of community service and attends 12 Alcoholic Anonymous sessions.
Coach Phillip Fulmer has not said when Colquitt might rejoin the team.
