Please take the time to read this, im not tryini t steer no trouble iono whos side im on but just wanted to hear some of Obama supporters and others reaction on this....(this is straight from myspace i didnt write it)...



Ok I have gotten this from several of you and I am soooo glad to see that there are other people who have the same impression of Barack Obama as I do. My mom and I were actually having the discussion (a few weeks ago) about what a snake we think he is and how we do not feel good about what will happen over the next 4 years if he is elected our next President. I have seen a magazine article about him refusing to wear an American Flag pin on his lapel. I have also seen a news program run a story with live footage of him at a campaign rally (or some kind of political gathering) where everyone was saying the pledge- they were all visibly reciting it and had their hands over their hearts while he just stood there with his hands at his side and his lips never moved. Anyways I just cant help but wonder what kind of an alterior motive he might have. I am not a Hilary supporter either but I would rather see her be elected than him. She was probably our real president when Bill was in office anyways- it seems she definatley wears the pants in that relationship. (and I dont mean b/c he cant seem to keep his on)
I think Obama stinks! And his intials are B.O.--- how fitting! Hehe

I have felt for sometime now that Obama is the one person that 'Frightens Me'. I believe the Bible has warned us that 'A man will come from the East that will be charismatic in nature and have proposed solutions for all our problems and his rhetoric will attract many supporters!'

When will our pathetic Nation quit turning their back on God and understand that this man is 'A Muslim'....First, Last and always....and we are AT WAR with the Muslim Nation, whether our bleeding-heart, secular, Liberal friends believe it or not. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches. Do you want someone like this as your PRESIDENT?

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Muslims that convert to Christianity HAVE to change their names. They must leave their Muslim names behind and change their names to Christian names. BHO has not done that.

The pin, the pledge, it's all very very clear and true.

Sorry, I am not a fan of BHO. I mean, he is likeable, however, he does not have my vote.

I gave it to you when I said it should be deleted immediately. There are plenty of reasons not to vote for him without pulling out lies and fabrications to smear him

He is a sleazy politician who has left absolutely no material mark on either the US Senate or the Illinois legislature, however, he is not a Muslim.

IT'S AN ARABIC NAME! his name comes from his ancestory. It does not make him a Muslim nor does it ever prove he was one.

I am not a supporter but you guys do know his mother was born in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas as his grandfather served on the front lines in WWII. Meanwhile his grandmother held a job as a welder in a factory that made US bombers.

Those are the people who raised him in Hawaii, along with his mother. So don't crucify the guy over his mother having bad taste in men that Obama hardly knew.

That is without a doubt one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read on this board . . . and I'm a Southern Baptist, so I'm an expert at condemning people for no apparent reason.

There is/are some guy(s) running around doing talk radio, maybe television, interviews who has/have been saying that he is a Christian convert from Islam and that changing the name is part of the deal. Part of the argument is that anyone who converts from Islam is condemened to death (at least by the more radical sects) and it would be suicide to keep the same name. I don't know the truth on this subject, but I have heard the argument made in the media more than once.

One thing I do know for a fact is that belief in the Trinity is apostacy in Islam and that in most Islamic nations apostacy can be a capital offense. I guess the real question would be whether a person who has lived in a country with religious freedom, such as the U.S., for a significant amount of time would have any reasonable fear of recriminations that would make them want to change their name if they convert. For a recent immigrant who resides largely within an immigrant community where "old world" justice is still adhered to on some level, the answer may well be "yes". For a highly educated, sucessful citizen who moves in the mainstream, perhaps even the elite circles, of society such as Obama, the answer is probably "no".

OK I am not an Obama Fan, but this is really crazy, I got this on my "myspace", this is just stupid and rediculous. I do not like his policies but as far a character and morals, I do not think he is in line with Muslim teaching, this guy has had crap like this though out the whole race..... what do you guys think?

It looks like there is some factual information in this article, followed by a lot of hyperbole (at best) and ouright untruths (at worst). However, the degree to which this information is true or untrue is largely irrelevant. BHO and the Dems must realize that they will be fighting this sort of thing throughout the election if BHO wins the nomination. There are a lot of ignorant rednecks and weirdos out there who will latch on to something like this and won't let go, regardless of how true it is. People like that, in many cases, don't vote, but I wouldn't be a surprised to see a big groundswell of typical non-voters who mobilize to vote in the general election (for McCain) just so BHO won't win, based solely on his name and background. There is a largely untapped source of votes out there of the ignorant and misinformed that could be mobilized into quite a frenzy. Should be an interesting election.

the fact that we get a new one of these posted on here ever other day or so proves just how much the Dems are going to have fight this win (if) Barack wins the nomination. I'm by no means a supporter, but as you've said, there are a lot of untruths in this article. A LOT
