My daughter-in-love's cousin was hit head on Sunday night, with her two little boys in the backseat. From the GoFund me page her family has set up...

Throughout all of this, Ashley is not aware of the boys injuries. Ashley's body has gone through so much trauma and her doctor's are afraid that she will not be able to handle the stress of reality. She has asked about them several times and she just wants to make sure they can play football. If you know Ashley, you know she loves her boys and watching them play football.

The list of injuries is long. Please be praying for this mom and her sons.

I read the description on the gofundme page and I can't imagine going through all of that. I pray that she and her boys make a full recovery as quickly as possible. They have a lot of tough times ahead and I'm very sorry for their suffering.

Thanks OB and Dave. I have two sons that are grown now. But I can't imagine how hard this is going to be for them emotionally, much less physically.

My son's MIL just told me the driver of the car that hit them needs prayers as well. Her injuries are really bad also.

Update on Ashley: they wanted to do an MRI last night because of an issue with her pancreas. They weren't able to take her off oxygen long enough, her blood pressure kept dropping. Still in trauma ICU.

Update on the boys (posted 11 hours ago): "Lane seems to be doing much better and should be out of ICU tomorrow. His major injuries are broken collar bone and 3 ribs. He has a broken high rib under neath his collar bone on the left side and two bottom ribs on his right side caused from his seatbelt. The intestinal damage seems to be coming along just fine for both. They are still pumping stomach fluids from them until the digestive system fully recovers and starts working properly. Naturally it shut down due to the trauma from the lapbelt. Once again that surgery was a success and the contusions were successfully repaired. Surgeon says it could be 48 hours before the digestive system wakes up.

As for Camden his injuries are more severe and we are still playing the waiting game to see how the swelling of his brain reacts. The blood that was found on his brain has not increased which means whatever caused it has been neutralized for the time being. Right now he doesn't have full use of his left eye or left arm. Hopefully as the swelling goes down and the pressure is reduced from the nerves these issues will correct themselves. He does have some spinal cord damage, 2 fractured vertebrate, his skull is fractured around the base and he has several stretched ligaments where the spinal cord attaches to the brain causing some expansion between the joints. Basically a severe whiplash and concussion. This could very well be where the blood came from originally. As far as recovery All we know right now is he is gonna spend a few more days in ICU until the swelling goes down and some of the ligament damage has healed."
