Hi everyone,
I am asking my fellow Vol fans to help us out. I am a researcher at The University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, and I am currently attempting to crowdfund a research project that would examine the diet of speckled seatrout in Mississippi waters. We are raising funds through Experiment.com, a scientific crowdfunding website that provides a unique opportunity for the public to support research they find interesting. The goal of the project is to figure out what speckled trout eat, how their diet changes throughout the year, and how it varies with age.
We are hoping to raise $4700 to support our first year of sampling. But, this will only happen if we meet our goal by May 10th; pledge contributions will only be collected if the project goal is met. Additionally, we are participating in a "Fish Challenge Grant ", that gives us an opportunity to win a $1500 donation from Experiment.com. To win the challenge, we need the most number individual backers by today (May 3rd) at 6 pm EST. So even if you can only donate a dollar, every little bit can help get us a $1500 bonus from experiment.com. If you know of anyone that would be interested in donating, please pass this information along to them. More details about this project can be found by following the link below.
