So, I got my tickets for the UAB game in the mail yesterday and Iwill be sitting in section GG. This is in the upper level by the endzone. But I cant remember if it is under the covered part of the stadium and if it is the endzone the players come out of.

Does anyone else know?

GG is on the top level in the SE corner of the stadium. You will probably not be in the shade and it is opposite the endzone where the players come out.

I dont think its covered. I always sit in YY whenever I go and that is the opposite side and where the players come out.

Thats what i thought. I thought they came out at the L section. But, it has been a few years since I was at a home game.

At least they still let the FULL BAND perform at home games (see other thread about not sending the full band to the FL game.)

I actually like the upper level OK as long as I'm near the bottom. If you're going to be in the end zone, you might as well be up high where you can see.

Is it just me or are the seats more narrow at Neyland than other schools??

Depends on the school. They are pretty close to most. Some schools have larger than normal seats and then some schools like Michigan, only provide about 9 or 10 inches per person.

I would have had tickets to the UAB game but someone stole my debit card on Tuesday :shakehead: and I think the tickets will be gone by the time I get my new one :(

Even I have heard that Neyland is notorious for small seats.

I love the atmosphere, but Neyland Stadium is definitely not one of the more comfortable stadiums I've ever been to.

I didn't say that we had BIG seats, but are seats are on average with several other stadiums in the NCAA.

So you're all the ones who are behind me yelling "sit down"! If it was up to me they'd take all the seats out and make the bottom level a free-for-all! Imagine those 50-yard line seats full of people who wanted to cheer! :rocks: It would feel like a 100,000+ student section.

fine with me. When they started charging the old timers, or moving them to the endzones last season, I was soooo happy. I'm tired of having the biggest stadium (Size wise) and not being the loudest. There is no excuse other than letting too many old-timers in. There should be a cap on how many people over the age of 70 we let in. At least somewhere around 15,000.

VOLNATION, will be well represented in HH then.
I recieved mine from on-line today. I have 2 season tix, But as long as my little one insists on joining in, atleast once a yr, well until she's much older. I order tix for Home openers.

I have never sat in HH. New Neyland experience i guess? :dunno:

HH are pretty nice seats. The upper 5-10 rows are away fans for the bigger games (Georgia/S. Carolina), so you get that rival fan flair without having so many there that you are in the middle of them.

I remember one Kentucky game when it was very cold and the guy next to me was wearing a HUGE coat. I felt like he was sitting in my lap!
The only way to really be comfortable was to stand, but folks behind me gave me annoyed looks.
Now Adelphia Coliseum ( Or whatever they call it now), THAT"S a comfortable sitting experience.
