The offense is bad, and yes Coach Martin has to find answers. The gameplans have not been very good. However, I found a couple interesting stats today.

Oklahoma State: Top ten in lowest field goal percentage on defense.

Georgetown: Fourth in the country in defensive efficiency according to kenpom.com

Virginia: #1 efficiency defense in the ACC according to statsheet.com and 9th in the country overall.

All three of those losses were not at TBA.

Maybe we all need to calm down just a tad.

Indiana put up about 40 more points against the same team. I'll continue to watch and support, but that's how far away from the top we really are.

As per espn Tennessee is raked:

Points per game 288th
61.4
rebounds 106th
37.4
assist 297th
10.6
field goal percentage 225th
.422

and this was against teams that had scoring problems themselves

I agree we have major offensive issues but if anyone expected us to be anywhere close to Indiana's level they are delusional

Georgetown went into OT with Indiana and we lost by 1 to GTwn. Are we 2 points away from # 1? Let's all play the numbers support my opinion game.

We're about to find out all we need to know about this team.
6 game home stand.
Is the bad road performance carried over from last season.
Can we duplicate the winning streak?
If we can't, I don't hold out much hope for a post season appearance.

Actually, Indiana scored 64 points against Gtwn in regulation. Gtwn scored a total of 72 points on Indiana, is our Defense that much better than Indiana's? Must be, right?

Georgetown struggles with scoring.
Played one almost as ugly as the TN game against Towson.
Won 46-40.

I would imagine playing us helped them be ranked so high on Defense since the season is so young, but I still agree with you. Just saying that can be looked at both ways

I think we are forgetting the fact that our offense is designed around Maymon AND Stokes. With Maymon out, our leadership is lacking on the floor and our gameplan has been adjusted. when Maymon comes back we will make a tear. But we have to remeber that we had a losing record in 2011 before league play and we will still be better this year...

I think if we do well during this homestand, it will give plenty of confidence on the road. I would have never guessed at the first of the year that we would have road problems but we do. Maybe its a trend with Martin's teams. Maybe he don't practice offense and it's something they work into the season. I'd prefer looking more prepared but at this rate, we will be fighting on the bubble each season with these slow offensive starts. Let's see how it goes in TBA

Maybe mentioning Indiana was an error. And I'm not delusional to think that we should expect to be there, or even close really.

Just tired of the same offensive issues as last year, tbh, but they have been worse so far. I watch a lot of basketball. Sometimes I don't even look at the names on the front of the jersey, and we have less offensive skill, basketball iq, and ballhandling ability than almost every team I watch play.I'm even more frustrated that the players weren't set up on an offseason system that required them to improve a major weakness. if the coaches didn't direct trae to a pg camp focused on it, he should have gone himself.Handling the ball is still an issue for this team. That's inexcusable.

Of course you struggle to find a decent win for this team also....The UMASS team has been really struggling.
