With all the talk of late defections and disappointment, thought these articles would calm us chicken littles down. I mean how good did we think we were going to be after Kiffin's first class. Ditto for Jones. In the end it's about player development.

Thanks for posting. Pruitt is definitely starting from the worst position after the finish last season, the number of coaches we’ve been through since Fulmer (I.e. relevance), and time to recruit/early signing.

That said, of all the staffs, I have the most confidence in Pruitt’s from a player development perspective. And that’s a beautiful thing.

Even more so IMO, remember whether they are 5 star or 2 star, they have never played a down in college and the great majority need 2-3 years to really impact beyond special teams.

Hopefully Pruitt and Staff can develop some of the current players up to their precieved potential. I think if we can just go bowling next yr that will provide enough momentum to lock up a top 10 class for 2019.

We will finish stronger than most teams because we have more scholly's in play.

Next year we have a full year of recruiting by CJP.

We will also have a small body of work by this staff to show eons of improvement in year 1 on the field, especially on development, Line of Scrimmage, Defense, Game Day Coaching, etc. Cross your fingers on punter.

Much as I don't care for Chump, look what he did with Spurriers last 2 classes of lowly recruits.... Pruitt's staff will do better with better recruits.

While things aren't necessarily looking super with teams we play in GA, AL, and Aub (FL 16 recruits & USCjr 21 recruits essentially even), the bottom half of SECe has failed to capitalize (KY, Vandy, and Mizzou = 11th/37th, 12th/38th, 13th/39th in SEC/Nation with 22, 20 & 25 commits respectively). WV = 33rd/22 signed

Pru should have enough good players this year to give good teams a run for their money. I do not expect miracles in year one, but I do think we'll see a much better team. The 2017 Class wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. We haven't seen much of them, yet, but I do think we'll see sophomores on the field this year, playing well. jmho

Can't win the SEC without GREAT players. Period. Keep on rationalizing all you want. If PruVitt was the 2nd coming of Rockne, he couldn't win the SEC with marginal players like the ones on the roster now.

What's your point? Neither of those coaches were successful. Why not look at how successful coaches faired with their first class. See Kirby Smart and Urban Meyer.

Da'Rick Rogers 5*
Justin Hunter 4*
Jacques Smith 4*
Raijon Neal 4*
Dave Clark 4*
Eddrick Loften 4*
James Stone 4*

That's what Derek Dooley did in two weeks.. TWO WEEKS!! Those aren't Kiffin's EE's.

Look how that turned out. A lot of you guys are forgetting about how we got smoked this year aganist coaches with 2 and 3 stars who actually developed talent. Let Pruitt coach and get a full season to recruit and then start passing judgement.
