A look at the Georgia game...

#6 was the big issue... That is all on the coaching staff. Price is one of the worst bigs in the nation and we gave him his career day. I would have rather played Harris at the 3 with 2 bigs.

Mark Fox is too good of a coach to not recognize that mismatch. Harris struggles enough defensively. It was only going to be worse for a guy he gives up 50 lbs. on

Why Pearl didn't have him fronting the post is beyond me. It was game, set, and match as soon as Price caught the ball on the block.

That would have been smart. I don't know if UGA could have got him the ball, plus Tobias is tall enough where it wouldn't be too easy of an pass ala Dane Bradshaw.

I heard Pearl ***** about them not fronting after the game. However, that's something that should be fixed after about two trips down the floor. If the players don't front as they're told, they sit. Pretty simple.

But what if their feelings get hurt?!

I don't get it. He told players to do certain things, and when they didn't do them...nothing...it makes no sense.

I agree with most of your analysis except we don't know when this team will peak. It peaked at the beginning of the year and had some ups and longer downs. Can it peak again in post season? Probably not, but it could happen. I believe you are correct in that teams are learning how to defend us and that is not good. If Scotty and maybe one more starts hitting some 3s to draw defenders out, that would help. Finding someone to make free throws---nah, our guys had rather practice things that get on the highlight reels. Forget that.

My write up on the Georgia game is up in the blog section.

I even gave you lazy people a link :)

Response to #4: The only reason McBee nis playing backup PG is because of his offensive capability. Bone and Golden have shown no more and potentially less offense in the minutes they have been given. Bone has also specifically asked not to play the point. Golden is young and hitting the freshman wall. His defense is not that bad, but sadly it is not better than McBee's defense.

I think you were spot on with number 3 and 6.

I believe McBee is capable of being better, but I would argue that Golden is the better defender at this point.

You would argue that McBee is capable of being better than Golden defensively? In what world?

Being better at defense, not better than Golden. I suppose I could have made that more clear, but I doubt that would have made a difference in your deciding to shoot down one of my posts.

Oh wait, let me clarify ^that post before you start calling me dumb:

I believe that McBee is capable of being better at defense than he is right now. I doubt he will be better than Golden in any area besides FTs and perimeter shooting.

Now, that makes more sense.
