So obviously I know that we are focused on UT Martin and then Kentucky. I dont know about you all, but the Georgia fans seem to be pounding that chest. Getting a little cocky saying they will run it down our throat and that their defense is legit and so on. I did a little math on our opponents and Georgias opponents and their average rankings just to get a closer look.

Georgia Opponents AVERAGE RANKINGS
Total Yards 67th
Passing Yards 83rd
Rushing Yards 48th
Points Allowed 86th
Yards Allowed 75th
Passing Yds Allowed 68th
Rushing Yds Allowed 79th

Tennessee Opponents AVERAGE RANKINGS
Total Yards 53rd
Passing Yards 56th
Rushing Yards 52nd
Points Allowed 68th
Yards Allowed 64th
Passing Yards Allowed 55th
Rushing Yards Allowed 77th

Basically, Tennessee's opponents are better in virtually every category except Georgias opponents run the ball a little better than Tennessee's. Keep in mind Georgia has also played 7 games to our 6. I took the statistics from Samford completely out of the equation because they are not in a FBS conference per se. (That may ruffle some feathers but keep in mind that even with those stats included, it would have made Georgia stats even worse.) Tennessee has played way better competition and its not even close. I only took the averages of the opponents to simply make a comparison. I just have a really hard time thinking that Georgia is really who they say they are when it comes to their rankings. I don't think their defense is that much better than Alabama's and i dont think their offense is as good as Alabamas. So, this info may not necessarily show the whole picture but it definitely gives where each team stands based off of their opponents alone.

Yes. I just figured breaking it down would help some people to see the numbers. Obviously it’s easy to tell by looking at the schedule but numbers don’t lie.

Stats can deceive at times. I think you were fair here but probably needs a little more context... like this. The combined records of UGA's opponents not counting might FCS Samford is 19-20. NONE of their last 4 FBS opponents has a winning record right now. They've played one team to my knowledge that has been ranked at any time this season. Oregon is currently ranked but they have NO quality wins. The other FBS opponent that currently has a winning record is USCe at 4-2. USCe's only good win of the year was UK without Levis

UT's opponents have a combined record of 24-17 and only one (Akron 1-6) has a losing record. Bama has beaten good teams. UF beat a good team to open the season. LSU has beaten good teams. Pitt... well 3 out of 4 is pretty good. They've beaten no good teams.
