Notre Dame loss
Vanderbilt win although I am no confident
Kentucky loss
Miss. St loss
Alabama win
Arkansas win
Texas A&M loss
Vanderbilt loss
South Carolina loss
Ole Miss win
LSU win
Alabama win
Georgia win

18 and 11 going into the SEC Tourney.

Holly will be talking about how we closed strong even though three of our last four opponents are inept.

This is what were looking at maybe a win in the SEC tourney will 19 and 12 get us in the NCAA?

Georgia is by no means a gimme.

Any team that does not beat us must have a coach too stupid to be out without a guardian. We cannot penetrate or pass through a zone, and we cannot shoot over one. We can't even get a rebounder inside the zone.

Any coach who does not beat us does not have access to a film player.

In a couple of years when Hart will finally be forced to replace Holly the program will be in a shambles. Part of her problem too this year is DD. Not a team player. That was my biggest fear when she transferred here.

I would add Cooper to that list as well. Those two have taken half the shots and committed half the turnovers.

Indeed ^^^^^.All one has to do is play any kind of zone and down goes the LV for the count.I would not rule out a dozen or more losses unless and until the coaching staff changes it offensive strategy against any kind of zone defense.

Players who aren't team players can sit. It doesn't really matter who they are. When their turnovers are gifting double-digit points to the other team, they're hurting as much as helping.

Turnovers were bad, but so was the inability to make open jump shots. Diamond's 7 turnovers was less of a problem than the shoddy shooting and inability to make interior passes by the backcourt crew (Middleton gets a pass here).

Diamond has her flaws, but the team is much, much better with her than without her.

Let's ask ourselves a question, who is responsible for correcting players' behavior on the court? Look at the top five program and ask yourself if these coaches would stand for players to adversely affect their programs? No matter how many times we throw players under the Tennessee bus it all comes back to the head coach.

I have a question here - A lot of coaches are willing to take 'package' deals with recruits - 'I want to play with my sister', 'I want to play with my best friend', 'I want to play with my HS teammate', etc. Diamond sort of put together a package deal at UNC, but bailed on that group when Cooper committed to TN so she could join her as a Vol.

Some coaches are very reluctant to consider those 'package deals' because it immediately creates a clique within the team. Cliques do form anyway as players move through their four years, but they are based on team dynamics and not 'history' and coaches have a better chance of managing them if they have only formed within the structure of the team. And the practice routines of guards working together and posts working together, and wings sort of floating between the two tends to be a structural process of breaking up those cliques.

So my question - do you fans see any of that reflected in the actual games - do DD and Cooper appear to play differently when they are on the court together than when only one is on the court, do they always sit next to each other when they are both on the bench? I have only seen snippets of games so I have no idea, but it strikes me that there is some strange dynamic going on within the team and this would seem to be one possible cause.

what the current players learned from that closed door meeting with former Lady Vols sure didn't last very long. What 1 game?

Holly is too worried about the players not liking her. Pat didn't care. With Pat you played as hard as you could for 40 minutes or you grabbed some pine. It was up to you. Pat rewarded hard work. Holly discourages it.

I agree that Holly is the reason these players think they can take any shot they want and Holly is the reason we will lose several more games we should win this season. She is to anxious to be liked as a coach to make the players play in a manner that would be winning basketball.
Cooper isn't playing like she did in High School because Holly isn't demanding she play as a team player. I expect her high school coach would be a lot better coach than the one we have now.

that Cooper is useless against a zone--and HAS BEEN ALL YEAR. Her shooting is terrible, she commits turnovers and her defense is mediocre--and yet Warlick continues to play Cooper about half the game! It's this kind of sharp-eyed coaching that has us where we are today--in trouble. None of our guards have been good this year, granted, but the others are certainly less bad than Cooper against a team playing zone. Holly gets paid to watch and learn....but keeps putting Cooper on the floor. Oh, my.

put meme Jackson at pg, have her drive the ball & either drop it off to the bigs or pass it to Dunbar for 3.

She is bigger & faster than middleton, can play defense and has a better looking shot than cooper.

I can't be worse than what carter and Reynolds have given us lately.

Jackson and DD at guards, dunbar and graves/moore at forward and unfortunately Russell at post.

Not only Cooper, but Reynolds as well. Those two make crucial mistakes, yet like you point out, Warlick continues to play them significant minutes. Holly needs to shorten the bench to no more than six or seven. If she continues with her idiotic subbing pattern, this team will lose at least 12 games this season..
