asu just wore out, usc had something to play for and played like nuts efficiency-wise.

Hardly a chokejob. ASU probably wouldn't have benefited much, seed-wise, from a win anyhow.

Fantastic game.

wash, asu, ucla, cal, usc are locked-in

arizona has a shot with those non-con wins, so possibly 6, but more likely 5.

Amazing fact: This will be the first time ever USC has made three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.

floyd is heads above any other coach they have ever had.
Bob Boyd was a really good coach. He had the misfortune of being in the same league as UCLA back when only one team from a league qualified for the NCAAs. That said, your point certainly stands for the last 30 years.

What was the lead at halftime? 14, 15? If UT-OSU was a choke job, this was close.

Great play at the end by USC to throw the 50-50 ball off of ASU.

Possibly, but a 5th was more likely. Judging by their draw vs temple and then 'cuse, they should be happier with a 6 than any 5 would have given them.
