So that 124-49 beating the boys put on UNC-Ashville has to be some kinda record right??? Anyone know what the most points ever scored in a college bball game is?

Pretty sure they set UT records for points and assists, and missed the largest margin of victory by 4. Bruce fastest to 100 at UT ever.

Yes it was a record, and we were close to setting a second. The most points ever scored before last night was 121 and we beat that. The other record was largest margin of victory, 79 points, and we just missed that one.

The sad thing is that it could have been MUCH worse. This team is going to be fun to watch this year.

UT wasn't close - Div. 2 Troy State scored 258 back in 1992

Article: This Is No Computer Error: Troy State 258, DeVry 141

The Washington Post Article
date:January 13, 1992

Troy State eclipsed its NCAA scoring record today, averaging more than six points a minute in a 258-141 victory over DeVry Institute - the first time any NCAA team scored more than 200 points.

"This is unimaginable," Coach Don Maestri said. "I don't ever see it happening again. . . . It's hard to believe it happened even one time."

The Division II Trojans turned in a record-setting performance for the second year in a row against DeVry, an Atlanta computer college and NAIA Division II member.

He wasnt the fastest, he was the second fastest. John Mauer (1938-1947) reached 100 wins in just 131 games

Ill take 124 though. I think UT will win quite a few games this season if they keep up that performance.

Can't wait to get a shot at UK.

Can you imagine scoring 141 points in a loss?

better than that imagine going almost 19 minutes before your teams first field goal. and we are talking some point blank shots. Asheville has a long season ahead of them. I dont know if we learned how good we are by that smoke job!
