Obviously saturday was a ugly game. It felt a lot like those jermey pruitt and butch jones teams that go out there against a top ranked team and showed us no hope. I think a numerous amount of factors came into play, we had so much hype going into the game it felt like we had to win, it was at samford field, and Georgia has been underminded this whole season with hype and they have just kept their heads low and keep trucking along.

But there is some positives too look at.
1. We know it can't get any worse, we know now what getting a can of whoop a** feels like, and it doesn't feel good
2. The team knows that they can't go out there and play football catered to Georgia, we have to go out there and pay UT football if we wan't any success.
3. I believe we have 1 loss under our belt and now we are over the undefeated hump that has been lingering over us.
4. I believe this team has a lot of seniors and players 22-25 year old range, and know that this will be their last year of football and they're gonna go down swinging.

BTW this is my first ever post so dont be too harsh lol

I would like to add the following:

5. They know how NOT to prepare for a playoff game from an emotional standpoint. Even Heup called them out for this after the game. They weren't mentally or emotionally ready.
6. They now know how difficult it will be to play in a hostile environment. That was really a first for all of them, when it really mattered what the outcome would be.
7. They know next time that every single one of them are going to have to play harder for 4 quarters if they want to beat a team like Georgia. They know it will take more effort all the way around, from coaches to players on down.

Another positive is that we know what elite DBs look like and the kind of receivers we need in order to beat them. Hope we find several of both.

I agree , this ass whopping was a great lesson to be learned headed into the playoffs. If we make it there. I have faith we will and if we do we will see a better team /coaching. A team/ coaching has to learn how to handle the big games and all that comes with it . Go Vols. GBO
