"Coach Saban. Jalin Hyatt." - reporter

"😯😔" - Saban

" He has the best YPC and leads the SEC in TD receptions. What do you see in his game...?" - reporter

Saban has never looked so dejected 5 days before an upcoming game.
When the reporter mentioned Jalin Haytt, Saban's worry involuntarily crept up into his expression hahaaha.

Then Saban went on to compliment all our WRs. However, he absolutely understands the value and danger of a guy like Hyatt.

This is such an interesting game, because Bama still hasn't truly clicked yet.
Meanwhile Tennessee is also a pretty talented team and they ARE beginning to click.

I think Tennessee needs to get out by 14 if possible and then just out pace Bama in effort, creativity, and execution!

Tennessee gets up by that amount. Makes Saban have to "coach" and more times than not he and his team are up 20 to 30. I believe there is a stat out there if his teams had gotten down by 14 pts or more he is 0-4. Hope that happens Saturday.

He needs to worry about Tennessee finally playing a complete game from every phase in front of the world.

The challenge will be staying ahead all 4 quarters, and I don’t mean on the scoreboard. One thing we struggled with last year was 2nd half production, and we saw that again against Pitt. We have to stay in front of Bama with our playcalling so that their adjustments don’t smother the offense. Make no mistake, we can’t put up 3 in the 2nd half and hope for OT.

This is the most optimistic I've been playing Bama since 2007, but will be a difficult game. Don't care if Bama stunk last week versus A&M, they'll bring their A game for us. And I do think they'll cut our secondary apart (unlike LSU), so we are going to have to score a lot of points (40+) to win, but this is the first time in a long time where it's felt like we have a legit shot.

Best chance of beating them is an old school PAC 12 style shootout. Our defense isn’t bad, but we are pretty thin at secondary. Offense needs to produce and no quick 3 and outs.

We just have to blitz the hell out of their QB like we did LSU. Maybe cause a few turnovers as well

I agree that we will need at least one turnover to beat them. AND we have to take advantage of that turnover. If we can even get up by 10 Saban will start sweating. We are a very dangerous team when up by multiple scores. It causes coaches to panic because our offense is so deadly.

This!

And our dline is also coming of age.
They handled LSU'S starters and backups that were playing.

Run defense is stout!

16 years of this BS, of not even being able to even compete with them. That $#/+ ENDS Saturday!!

Heh, remember how salty looking his Daddy was on his initial press conference? That still makes me laugh

I just recently watched this one and I can’t recall seeing a more arrogant, rude bastard. And for no discernible reason. It’s not like they don’t pay him enough. And it’s not like those people asking the questions don’t treat him like some football god. But he acts like he can barely acknowledge they are in his royal presence. I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t required to back out of the room or it’s off with their heads.

I agree. It's a desperate play and I believe a.) CJH will have the team prepared; and b.) it will backfire on Saban.

This is going to be a fun game to watch.

We should just call for a fair catch on the first bounce. Worked like a charm for Okie State.

I would bet that after 3-4 minutes of reviewing the play, and Sankey and the Lil Feller working the refs, they simply rule it was not a valid fair catch call and give the ball to Bammer. It's the SEC way.

Very cool. The receiver still has to catch the ball for this to work (unless there's interference), but at least they don't have to worry about getting "smeshed' by the kicking team while trying to catch the ball.

Question for Rule Gurus: Is it allowable for multiple people on the receiving team to call fair catch as a way to increase the odds for catching the ball for an onside kick, and/or drawing an interference call? If so, could every person on the receiving team wave their hands for a fair catch so that nobody could touch them?

We see punt receivers doing fake fair catches all the time without penalty, so why not now?

Expect dirty hits designed to hamper or even remove Hendon's primary targets. It's the Bama way.

Or just hit Hooker late with an obvious targeting. It's not like they will draw a flag. It's Bama. Sankey won't allow it, nor will the Lil Bitty Fella.

Saban shouldn't have put the blame on his team for being quiet or being anxious.

He himself was/IS fearful of Hooker and HYATT.
