A question for the schematically minded re KSU's defense of Auburn's running game

I saw only bits and pieces of the Auburn-Kansas State game last night but was most impressed by the fact that KSU held Auburn to only 128 yards rushing on 45 carries for a 2.8 ypc average. For those of you are schematically minded, what specifically did Bill Snyder and his staff do to so effectively throttle Auburn's rushing attack? Furthermore, do those measures constitute a reliable blueprint for slowing Malzahn's offense?

I also heard comments to the effect that Kansas State did something that frustrated Auburn from being able to operate at the breakneck offensive pace that they prefer. Again, I didn't catch the full gist, but does that ring a bell with anyone?

Contained their gaps. They were able to get into their gaps, which prevented the back from getting free yards. It's nothing schematic, but it is executional.
