Not Vol related, but it's been bugging me since the preseason. What is that green dot on the back of the helmets of the NFL QB's?

communications, the green dot signals that that person and only that person has and can have communication with the coach on the field.

I wondered about that too. I think I saw in here a few days ago that the green dot is apparently how they designate the helmet that has the radio receiver in it to get plays from the sideline. Each team is allowed one helmet with a receiver.
