I don't know all the in's and out's of cfb recruiting. I have always followed recruiting to an extent of what prospects we are recruiting and who is committed. Which brings me to the question at what point is the most heated part of cfb recruiting. I realize you want to get commitments asap but when is the ideal time or deadline you need to have commitments and at what time can you say ok if he is not comimitted by now it is time to sweat?

NSD.
But for real, most recruits will let you know around what date they will be ready to announce.

There is no time line. You just have to wait on the kids to make a decision. If there were a timeline, coaches would be freaking out all the time if no momentum were present. All they can do is pitch the recruits and wait. In recent times though, it's become VERY important to form relationships with recruits earlier in the process. Kids like attention and usually whoever gives them the most for the longest amount of time wins the battle. Hope I answered your question.

Well, Fulmer was traditionally known as a closer, but recruiting has changed in the last few years. More and more kids are committing early, so building relationships with recruits early is very important. That's why its not unrational to be talking about next years class already.

lmao who said NSD was your name?? I was emplying national signing day does not answer my question, if you would have read my post I said COMMITTMENTS and at what point do most coaches shoot for to have their prospects pretty much in the bag...and I know that is a broad question because of course ideal would be early.

And I was implying that alot of big time prospects wait until close to NSD to make thier decision or narrow thier list, so coaches are usually sweating it until NSD. I was kinda being sarcastic but not really.
