A-Rod just isn't very smart

No sport wants to be even slightly associated with gambling.

How is this anybody's business?

Now, in a dramatic turn, A-Rod is facing potential fallout from Major League Baseball, which previously warned him to stay out of illegal poker clubs and now has two investigators looking into his activities.

I don't give a crap if players gamble. But if the league has already warned you to stop while you're making 20 million a year, you reap what you sow. It's not like the dude needs freaking money. I guess I just don't understand why people like Vick and now A-Rod apparently need to get their jollies off illegally gambling. Like I said, they obviously don't need the money and you'd think playing professional sports on national television in front of huge stadiums would be enough excitement. Nope... they gotta gamble in illegal gambling rings. Like wtf? Go on a rollercoaster. Go skydiving. Go jetskiing/boating. So many options for other thrills and excitement and they have go break the law/league rules to have fun.

Stuff like this is why Michael Jordan supposedly mysteriously "retired" the first time.

Even though I think MLB is overreacting a little, I understand what they're doing. They don't want people associated with gambling, and they have warned A-Rod.

He's got plenty of legal games not unreasonably far from the City, not sure why he didn't go that route.
