Like it or not, having won one n/c,another on the horizon, plus most tds (55) in a season, add to that being the first underclassman to ever win the Heisman,he could go down as the best college football player ever.

I saw Herschel Walker play. Maybe you could argue that Tebow's second-best, but he ain't first.

He is the best college player of all time who will do nothing in the NFL.

I have not been impressed at all with Tebow's passing ability. He has very rarely had to throw the ball in obvious passing situations and has not looked great when put in those situations. Nobody has ever done the things that he has but I wonder how many guys with his size and athletic ability could have been utililized in a similar way. Tebow is essentially a FB who can make throws due to his strength. His accuracy is not particularly great. Is it really Tebow's tremendous talent or is it Urban's system that makes him look so good? How often does Tebow audible the play or read the defense? Tebow has good instincts but how will his decision making be when he's forced to make throws? Tebow's biggest strength as a QB is his strength. That will not do much for him in the NFL except in short-yardage situations. I just have my doubts that he can be successful past college or in a system other than Urbans. No doubt, he is perfectly suited for the Spread Option offense.

Mel Kiper is that you?

Been saying it since before his Freshman season. He's a great guy and a great player but I don't see how he'd fit in the NFL. I've always thought he'd be a great FB but I do like Mel's idea of him playing HB. Do you honestly see Tebow making a living passing the ball against NFL defenses? He'll be great in short yardage situations if he decides to play, though. My guess is that he'll play for long enough to make a little money and then get out of football and use that money to minister to people. And he'll back back next year. Anybody who thinks differently hasn't been listening to him.

He didn't win that NC. He was a backup.

He pretty much destroyed our 2006 game against UF. They would have never made it to the title game if we beat them like we should have. I will never forget how pissed off I was that we couldn't stop the backup quarterback on a play that everyone knew would be a run. Repeatedly.

Roger Staubach, Archie Griffin, Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders all won as underclassmen. I assume you meant first sophomore.
