Both the Vols and Jon Gruden have dates in the nation's capitol this weekend, with Men's bball playing Georgetown and the Giants taking on Washington on Monday.

This just made me think. Is it possible that the Gruden cancelled meeting was in lieu of this? Does Hart travel to "support his team" while meeting with Gruden sometime this weekend to work out/finalize things.

I know it's coincidental that the dates line up, but IMO it kind of seems like a perfect storm of situations. Thoughts?

Definitely gives Hart a nice alibi to be in the same place as Gruden. "Oh he's gone to support the basketball team in their big game against Georgetown."

Seriously?

A bit reaching, don't you think?

Not necessarily. I mean both parties have a reason to be in the area. I'm not saying this was the plan all along, just saying it would be convenient and help keep everything on the dl until both parties were ready to make findings public.

Exactly. It gives them both an out. Hart can say he was with the basketball team for the game, Gruden for MNF. It's not a stretch at all.

I mean, the truth will come if Hart is out of his office this weekend. If he is out of town and with the team, then there's a possibility of this happening.

And magically Hart and Gruden bump into each other and it goes from there. I could actually see it.

Hart will be in NYC for Fulmer's Hall of Fame induction on the 4th.

Not saying he won't swing through DC Friday, but he already has a good reason to be out of town.
