Thought I'd get a couple likes for thread title alone. Lol. Even after Nama game I really think this program is finally headed in the right direction. We maybe two years away from competing for championships (any kind). But recruiting is up. Believing has started. And I'm seeing players playing a full game regardless of score. Anyone disagree regardless of whether you bought in to butch jones as the hc?

I think we're definitely going in the right direction and that can be seen in the big W over South Carolina, how we played Georgia into OT, and 2014 recruiting class.

"After Bama" though shows me we are still a mentally weak team. I'm sorry but no one can convince me our players went out there and played Bama like they did against UGA or SC. No I wasn't expecting a win or even a close game in the 4th, but for it to completely be over in the first quarter - for our team to not even be a speed bump but a freakin doormat to Bama's victory is complete BS. Do these guys not have any pride?

Anyways I hear ya I think we'll be a much improved football team next year and really see 8-9 wins in 2015.

No contest at Nama they came out flat. But seemed to try to rally just to score. Or rather had to fight to score

Could see 8 wins this year...9 with a bowl win. I expect at least 8 next year, cause help is on the way. :hi:

Its a night and day difference from last year. This team does still occasionally do things that kill me, like when Shaw ran a draw on 4rth and forever and got it. But the attitude in general is different about this team. They believe they can win every game, and then go fight for it. They still have a ways to go before they are considered a real threat to the Bamas and Oregons, but they have shown that the next level of teams below that had better watch it. I had said this would be an 8 win season and I still believe that. We take either Auburn or Mizzou, Vandy, and KY. We beat up somebody like Marshall pretty bad in a bowl game and go into next season feeling pretty good. Depending on how our O-Line shapes up, I can see 10 next year.

Basically read this solely due to the title. Don't have much to add, other than I think we are headed in the right direction, & any time you try to change culture & mindset, there will be hiccups& speedbumps, but you stay the course, then things will Iimprove. Jones strikes me as a make adjustments on side things, but overarchingly, stay the course kinda guy.

Lol really was joking about the likes, I was really more curious about whether anyone really thought there had been no change regarding the once great program that was vol ball. And soon will be again
