I just want to thank every person involved in the resurrection of the program. Been there through good times and bad, but this team just feels special, this vibe feels magical. Football aside, it just feels different. Words don't do it justice. In any case, this team and staff have rekindled the flames and passion I once had for Saturdays. Not that I ever stopped being a fan or missed a game on tv (live in Florida), but that unbridled excitement and anticipation of the next game was something I didn't realize I missed so much.
So much so that I am contemplating hoping in my car after work tomorrow and making the 10.5 hour drive, sleeping in my car, and turning right around next day just; just to take in that energy and atmosphere. This after doing the same for the Florida game a couple weeks ago as a bucket list item with my pops. Wife tells me "I used my trip for the year." Not sure I care at this point, I may just take the permission and ask for forgiveness when I get back...
All that to say: Thanks! Thanks for making Saturdays fun again. Thanks for giving me and my family something to bond over 12-14 weeks out of the year. Thanks for putting the pep back in my step from late July to early January. Thanks for doing things the right way. Just...thanks.
