After watching the latest example in a once in a generation arm strength of Joe Milton as he launched a 70 yard missile yesterday, two things come to mind.

The 1st pick in the 2024 Draft - Now I know he has to consolidate on last years "glimpse of the future" performances but 10 TDs and 0 INTs combined with THAT arm will have the draft analysts salivating. If you think that the sun (its 92 here today) has got to me can I remind you of Anthony Richardson. He played only one season, he complected 53.8% of this throws and had 17 TDs and 9 INTs, oh, and he had a losing record only beating South Florida, Eastern Washington, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas aTm and Utah. So why was he the No 4 pick in the 2023 Draft, simple because of his pro day workout. Well wait until Joe Milton's pro day when some of his throws will leave one Zip Code and land in another.

Use Joe instead of the Punter
- A good punter will punt about 45 yards a kick (he can also shank a bad one any time remember) well Milton can launch the ball at least 70 yards and that is with hang time as well. I am not aware of any rule that says when you Punt you must kick the ball. This could become known as a "Milton". If this is feasible then thats yet another reason to draft him high.

I look forward to the debate.

Would only work if the return man catches the ball…and none would.

Hate to break it to you ….. but I don’t think we plan on punting this year…..:)

Would love it but highly unlikely. Odds on favorite is Caleb Williams. He will put up video game stats again and probably will win the Heisman again.

Another interesting post, LV. I tend to agree with HulaVol: Tennesssee not likely to do much punting next season.
Also...Tennessee's Pride of the Southland Band departs Monday morning for London! Are you going to the "Tatoo"?

Good morning feathersax, I was stunned with how much the analysts fell in love with Richardson but thats the fallout out from people missing out on Patrick Mahomes. So long as Joe is 2022 and not 2021 it could be his turn.

4 days and 7 hours to Potters Field Park (the south side of the River Thames 100 yards from Tower Bridge if you know London) you can tell by the countdown if im excited?

So you're definitely going to the "Tatoo"? Looking forward to your report. Sing LOUD when the P.O.T.S. plays "Rocky Top"!

Imagine Joe Milton, spokesman for the US Post Office.

Young kid: Hey, Joe! I’ve got to get this to Bobby’s house!
Joe takes the object from the child and launches it over rows of houses. Joe: It should be on Bobby’s front porch, now.
Young kid: Thanks, Joe!
Joe turns to the camera: When I need to be sure something arrives at its destination, I rely on the US Post Office.
Cut to Joe slipping a letter into the slot inside a US Post Office, then smiling for the camera. Music swells, US Post Office logo fills the screen. End.

sounds like a great NIL opportunity whilst improving his national profile.

I thought there was a rule about punting -- either a punt or a drop-kick.
Field goal -- either a kick or a drop-kick.
If you throw it, it's an incomplete pass.

of course if the pass is not caught then it would be an incomplete pass, silly me. Thank you for clearing that up.

I know it was in jest but if we did that the other coach would tell their players to knock it down and take over where we had the ball at. I think my middle school coach tried that one time. I know I remember seeing it backfire somewhere and pretty sure it was on us lol. Milton has all of the physical tools you could ask for. I'm hoping he's figured out the rest.
