I had a lot of favourable comments regarding my reference to one of my all-time favourite films, Zulu. So, I thought I would list my top 5 and for a bit of fun I have added a suggestion for ESPN to make some episodes of their 30 for 30 series with a modern-day twist.

1 DAMBUSTERS (1955) – Tennessee finally breaching the crimson wall last season. Chase McGrath can be Guy Gibson and a rousing rendition of Rocky Top can replace the Dambusters theme tune.

2 ZULU – The odds were stacked against the defenders of Rourke’s Drift but with a great game plan, structure and an unbreakable determination to pull through, ladies and gentlemen, I give you - Josh Huepel.

3 JFK – The Warren Commission investigating who was on the grassy knoll? Can be replaced by the NCAA investigating who purchased those KFC buckets?

4 THE BIG SHORT – Big impressions from little men, Squirrel White 5` 10” gets an honourable mention but it has to be Zakai Zeigler 5` 9” for the leading role. A truly big man.

5 THE LONGEST DAY – I will broaden this one to THE LONGEST PERIOD. Covering the period 2009 to 2019, when Tennessee were the worst they have been for 132 years.

I would also like to give an honourable mention to A FEW GOOD MEN which aptly describes Darnell Wright, Hendon Hooker, Jalin Hyatt, Cedric Tillman and Byron Young, five players who didn’t quit on the Vols when Tennessee were in the absolute depths of the Pruitt era. These were not only the main protagonists in turning round the program from a 3-7 record to an 11-2 record, but also laying down a work ethic and standard for future Vols to build on. Each one was rewarded with being drafted in the first 3 rounds of the NFL Draft. Forever Vols.

Once again our British friend lends his screenplay knowledge & verbal acumen to Vol Nation. You bring the heat, sir. Michael Caine did his part in an attempt to save the disaster "Jaws 4: The Revenge"; alas, it was a turkey from the beginning.

I wish there was some way for me to give this more than just a "like."

Patton, because that’s our coach

Hey London, do you follow the basevols? Really cool sport if you don’t.

Hi VolBallGuy If you meant Tony Vitello and his boys, yes.

Looking forward to Saturday/Sunday (we are 5 hours ahead here) Honestly I think it is an achievement to get this far but with this pitching staff ANYTHING is possible. on a side note so pleased to see Blake Burke "crush one" at USM. I have no idea why he is been in such a long slump.

Go Vols

Though I'm a huge fan of Powell & Pressburger's movies, surely the best British movie ever made is still The Third Man (1949). It's the movie I show young people when they say they just can't get into black & white movies. Gorgeous photography, entertaining Graham Greene story, with quirky moments that relieve the suspense.

The setting is post-war Vienna as the Cold War is setting in. The city is divided into 4 sectors, controlled by England, France, the US, and USSR. When they go out on police patrols, a member of each country makes up the patrol, and seldom do they speak a common language. Meanwhile, the bombed out Austrian people are struggling to survive in this economic and governance chaos.

Football connection? It reminds me of the SEC's juggling in trying to find a realignment that is maximally profitable for the participants and gives the conference the best chance to show up strong at the UN -- I mean, NC.

Good choice, two more close runners up were Beverley Hills Cop and Trading Places
