It was 28 years ago when my father took me to my first Tennessee football game. I remember being scared to death as I climbed the near verticle stairs of the south end zone, but I remember the passion my father had towards the vols more.
Since then I have watched the likes of Heath Shuler, James "little man" Stewart, Alvin Harper, Bill Duff ( I don't think so Eddie), Peyton Manning, Al Wilson, Leonard Little, John Henderson, Jay Graham, Charlie Garner, Chad Clifton...I could go on for a while. I watched the years most you have been told about.
Johnny Majors was like a grand father, Phil Fulmer was like a dad, any critism of either is a foolish campaign, they were great. Since those times we have been dealt the garbage of Kiffin and Dooley. Those times are GONE.
This Sunday we embark on the footsteps of greatness once again. I call on all fans of past and present to be prepared to return to old form. This season most likely will not be one that we compete for the east, but act as if! Act like it should be, act like a champion, act as if, the first step to being a champion is to act as if!
I am returning to Knoxville this Sunday for the first time in a while, and I plan on acting as if we were going for it all!

Great Story!
I am fairly new to the Vol Family, but I will say that I have NEVER been as excited as I am right now to see what this team is going to accomplish now and for the years to come. My first game at Neyland last year gave me chills! The Vol Walk, the band, the fans, the atmosphere. If you aren't a fan going in, you will be when you leave. Good OL' ROCKY TOP! I can't wait until Sunday! I'll be in the stands cheering for the Vols! GO BIG ORANGE!
