It was a win because we went toe to toe with a ranked opponent. We never gave up and laid down. We didnt throw any interceptions. Our D held the best sec QB to less passing yds than Worley. We had (3) 4th down conversions...etc...etc
We did this and much more with a new staff, lots of freshman and walk ons, QB controversy/issues, and players that have never been coached up.
Considering everything, this is a WIN for us regardless of the scoreboard. We are rebuilding from scratch. Its a win to me personally. GBO!

Lots of positives, but it is what it is; a loss.

If any other fanbase posted something like this, this place would rip on them for eternity.

At the end of the day, UGA won on the scoreboard which is all that will get recorded.

Oh no The moral victory squad is making a comeback.

This has probably been the most celebrated loss I can remember. Not just "keep your heads up, you have a lot to proud proud of", but full-on 1999-style celebrating. The night of the loss I got on here and lit in to what I perceived as ignorant sunshine pumpers...the loss hurt WAY too bad to start talking all happy like. But, the bottom line is that we had a game on Saturday that was the most reminiscent to the 90's that I can remember in a long time. No, I don't expect us to be able to replicate that every week against every team. I think a lot of folks on here do, and they are in for some heartache no doubt. But, this could very well mark a turning point of some kind. It was a good one.

not sure but think that is one reason the "sunshine pumpers" were out.

This is why it's probably a way bigger loss them most realize.

This is why I just couldn't get in with the sunshine crowd Saturday night. I don't think some of them truly realize how big of a game got away from us. Even if this is the turning point, when is the next time we'll be able to have the number 6 team in the country in the pocket? The win would've been a game changer for this university, fanbase and the whole darn state. It still hurts to even talk about.

Just shows how desperate this fanbase is for a significant W.....me included. But don't call it a win. It's a loss and the players need to feel like it was a loss to build mental toughness.

The truth.. I have been depressed and lost my optimism since the 2001 game with LSU.. Saturday for the 1st time I saw our Vols back playing teal big boy football. Kicking ass.. The conditioning coach and Butch have them physically ready. They are hurting people. That's football. Some wins under their belt andwatch out...

I am confused, last week we won people wanted everyone fired. This week we lost and everybody is on cloud nine.

I thought it was a game changer. In fact, the first game changer was when CBJ signed on. Let me guess, you expected to be undefeated by this point? Really? We almost got beat by South Alabama 10 days ago, then we come go toe to toe with Georgia.

This is TN when did we start settling for moral victories. I admit we played a lot better but its still a loss. I never thought I would see the day when we was happy just for hanging in a game. This is TN in case you all have forgot were not suppose to be happy unless we get the W. GO VOLS!
