AAA Baseball State Tourney Update

Farragut beats Collierville 9-6 in 8 innings. Delmonico pitched bottom of 7th for Farragut to hold Collierville at bay, then comes up in the top of the 8th and crushes a deep 3-run home run to make it 9-6. Bottom of the 8th he comes back on the bump and strikes out the side to end the game.

Incredible. So far Nicky is putting together one of the best state tournament performances I have ever seen; I'm not sure he's even gotten out yet. Whatever questions the MLB scouts had about him earlier in the year are a distant memory right now.

Admirals play for AAA championship today at 5 pm CT. They beat Collierville 1-0 yesterday. Delmonico went 1-1 with a double, run scored, and 3 walks. Came in and got the save in the 7th.
