AAFL in Knoxville?

I live in Nashville but I think the concept could work. Unfortunately, they want to use former college athletes from the respected areas to have in the league. There arent any teams up North or West (not that I care) so the players from the Big 10 or PAC 10 will be in there too. If they could make it to where only players from certain schools can play on certain teams, that could be fun.

Has anyone heard anything around town about this?
AAFL

Doug Dickey has been on SportsTalk (990 AM) talking about it. I've not heard him recently.

According to Dickey before playing on a team a player must have 1). a degree, and 2). have completed his college eligibility.

I've heard callers to SportsTalk comment that the new football league was the "white guys' league."

I hope it works, but i'm 99% sure it'll fold like every other not NFL league. Only other one that has survived is the AFL.

If Doug Dickey is involved, I pray this league will be a failure of monumental proportions.
