Aaron Donald only had a few other offers all from smaller schools. Dude has won about every award a D-Lineman can possibly win. It's rare for a 3 star recruit to be this dominant but it does happen.

I wonder how he would have done in the SEC.

It's not that rare at all. In fact I'm pretty sure Ive seen numbers showing more NFL players were 3* recruits than anything else. Of course I know there are more kids rated 3*....jusy saying it's not that rare for one to work out.

Proof that we should only recruit 3* players

SEC DL average about 6-4. TN's smallest DL is 6-1 326. Donald is 6-0 285. Not saying he could not have developed into a good player. But your expected to hit the ground running in this conference.

Actually I said it was rare for a 3 star to be that dominant. I never said it was rare for a 3 star to make the league. I doubt there's been more then a couple (3 star recruits) that have went on to win the Lombardi award over the past 10 years or so.

Aaron Donald would be a stud in any conference.

So that's why so many SEC freshmen are redshirted?
