Wrote about the Vols in depth a couple weeks ago, really intrigued by that club, and eager to see how they handle the SEC. Tennessee notched another very nice weekend series win against UC Irvine this weekend; they look ready for conference play. Certainly wouldn’t surprise me for Tennessee to win that series this weekend. That Tennessee offense looks pretty dangerous, and frankly I don’t think their pitching is too far behind Ole Miss’ pitching, either.

With Ole Miss avoiding having to play Florida and Vandy this year, how do you see the Rebels fairing the rest of the season?

Kendall Rogers:
that’s a good thing to mention. Remember, last year, LSU had a pretty favorable schedule and was able to rack up a very very good conference record because of it. That could be advantageous for the Rebels this season, too. FWIW, I have the Rebels on upset alert at Tennessee this weekend. I think the Vols are actually pretty solid, and they will be looking at that series as a potential statement weekend.

This is a pretty great sports weekend for me, BaseVols vs OM, NCAA basketball tournament, NCAA wrestling national championships... and a couple of days of vacation to boot! WOOHOO.
