Also he went in depth on how the surgery went here from an interview on Oct 27th...
Georgia-bound ESPNU 150 quarterback Aaron Murray spoke with affiliate Web site TotalUGA.com concerning his surgery.
"I had surgery on Friday. It went good, and there was less damage than they thought. They knew my fibula was broken, and they put a plate and screws in for that, but the major ligament that holds my fibula and tibia together wasn't torn. They were going to have to put a major screw in there."
And timetable here...
Elite ESPNU 150 quarterback Aaron Murray suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle last Thursday and discussed what's next with affiliate Web site TotalUGA.com.
"They said it was a clean break, but they're not sure about any ligament damage. I will be going to see two doctors (Monday) and then I will have surgery later this week, probably on Thursday. They will put a plate and screws in, and then let it heal. It will be four to six weeks to start walking again, and then another month to strengthen it again."
The prized Georgia pledge added, "Basically, it will be a two to three month recovery. If I work hard enough I should be back by January. I'm thankful it wasn't worse. This is something I'll be able to come back from. I'm not upset, it's football."
