21-Mar-2008
Nashville, TN -- The Nashville Broncs are gearing up to hold their first tryout on April 5th. The Broncs tryouts are open to all players and positions and mark the first official tryout for the team.

Camp will be held at Fisk University, located at 1000 17th Ave N, Nashville, Tennessee. "There is a rich talent pool of basketball players in the Nashville area," owner Scott Lumley stated. "However, with several camps scheduled, we know that we will find more talent during our upcoming tryouts."

The pre-registration fee is $125, while registration at the door will be $150.00. Pre-registration begins immediately, but must be completed before Friday, March 29th to receive the sign-up discount. Registration and athlete check in on Saturday, April 5th and will begin at 7 am at Fish University. The workout will run from 9 am to 6 pm. All players will receive a Broncs t-shirt, but must bring their own shoes, towels and refreshments.

The head coach and his staff will conduct the workout and evaluate all prospective players and their skill level.

Nevermind, the Quad City Riverhawks are PBL. o_O

Used to have an ABA team called the Quad City Thunder. They were pretty cool back in the day, but I think they folded around 2000.

I have a feeling this team will fold before the first game, they always do.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I see this team being possibly less successful than the Knoxville AAFL franchise.

In the meantime, I am also waiting for a call...if they need either a Sport Marketing Guru, or the midget version of Bill Lambeer (5-11 with a 4-inch vertical and elbows from hell):birgits_giggle:
