Too over-saturated in some places, too dark in other places, all moody and edgy with light sources and lots of darkness around them. Lots of "let's wash the whole screen in the school's primary color" busy animations. I dislike it immensely when college presentations go dark - college is about youth and vibrance and excitement, not professional stuff. Wish it was more focused on light rather than dark. And wish it was a bit less nosiy and busy just for the sake of spending money animating particles.

Obviously, it's a noticeable step down from the SEC on CBS package. Nothing will ever match that look or that theme. And I pray to General Neyland himself that's just temp music for their new visual stuff, because it's ... it's bad otherwise. I feel like I've heard that on prior broadcasts, so it probably is. Hope so. Nothing about it says college football.

I am thinking the SEC on ABC games will also stream on ESPN3 thru the ESPN app. That's what the did with ESPN on ABC games.

That music sounds like a mid-card WWE wrestler’s entrance track.

lol yes, but, like, Def Rebel produced. Not Jim Johnston produced.

the folks who gave us "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" certainly need to do better than this

Definitely. Someone over on the SECRant had the best reply -

"I pray to god they aren't trying to replace the iconic SEC on CBS theme song with a glorified version of "Here Comes the Muffin Man" on a guitar."

CBS finally found a way to make B10 football interesting...make everyone think SEC football is coming on

It's like seeing your girl with another guy (or for the ladies, another guy with your girl), and thinking "ha ha, you broke up with me for THAT?"

I bet those CBS guys are going to love trading SEC games in the south with such luminary matchups as Purdue-Illinois or Northwestern-Rutgers. Like following a conference with half a dozen Vanderbilts.

I mean, sure, they've got their Ohio State and Michigan programs, but beyond that, you can't tell me any other program up save maybe Penn State which matches the intensity of your typical southern football Saturday. Nuh uh. Not buying. Not buying at all.

as we saw with Iowa last year. the only reason any of their teams have decent records is because they play in the Big 10. a couple teams HAVE to rise up to the middle of the pack each year because someone has to win the games.

Iowa's defense was so highly ranked because the BIG is filled with horribly inept offenses.

yup. all it took was a decent OC (not counting Heupel for sake of conversation) and the second team offense from a middling SEC squad to tear down that facade.

even still it took a while, but they weren't doing anything special.
