i say we get this kid and bulk him up to around 200 and he
will be pretty good. He is apparently money with the 3 ball.

Word around here is that he is a Wildcat if they still want him. There is some speculation as to exactly how bad his injury is.

Cotton, he has been waiting patiently for a Duke offer. He just might get it now that King transferred. Many recruiting gurus have said he would commit on the spot were K to offer.

I really hope we do offer him.

the prototype player in coach K's system. Not very athletic, sharp-shooter, and white.

Good replacement for Taylor King.. They are a lot alike. I just do not think Hood will be a Vol. The offer he has isn't as solid as Leslie McDonald. Also, we haven't recruited him that hard this year. I'm not sure we went to any of his HS games this year. I doubt we pursue him HARD unless we miss on LM.

i liked the kid from what i saw in the interview that was posted at the top of the page. i'm about to look him up on rivals. seems like he could be to us like what scheyer is to duke. i hope he dont go to kentucky, they are the biggest fair weather fans i have ever witnessed.

He's not super athletic, but he does play very good defense.

He would be a great pickup for K to replace TK. Plus from what I understand he really wants to be here. I like how K recruits a couple of solid 4 year kids.

He's not a top priority. Kenny Boynton and Leslie McDonald are.

But if we don't land a big then they will offer Hood, and I would not be sad with that.

Plus, as I said, I like the fact that K gets good 4 year kids. Going deep in the tourney is great and all, but having kids that like being at school is just as important if not more. Because when it comes down to it, Duke not winning or even winning it all, will never affect my everyday life other than me talking some trash with some friends.

if you're willing to give you cussing to land McDonald, then I'm willing to bet dook losing a couple or making a quick exist, does affect you.

See I have heard different. I think he is not similar to King. I think he is much more athletic than King. Driving and finishing at the rim is one of his strengths.

LOL, it used to get to me when I was like 13 or 14, but now that i'm paying bills and having to write 20 papers a week for class there are more important things. I still get pissed, but not like, roid rage and break everything in my house pissed.

And yeah, Hood is much more athletic than King, thats why I said he is a good replacement.

Yeah, once the winning stops, the sanctimonious drivel begins...

Maybe, I'm just reporting the local buzz. Of course, the local buzz thinks everybody is a UK lock if offered (see: Hopson, Scotty.)

The troubling thing to me is the conversation about his hand. One rumor has it that it will be fine next year. Another says there is extensive damage with pins and screws inserted and it is doubtful that he will ever have full strength and range of motion. I don't really have a reliable news pipeline into Madisonville, though, so I'd guess there really won't be any definitive answer until AAU ball at the earliest, and possibly the beginning of the HS season.

Oh I wasn't doubting you Cotton, I was just giving you information from my sources.

And about the hand, I know his dad told K not to come watch him workout because of it, and to wait until it has healed.

So please do keep updating the status of his hand.
