Doc's Talk: Intentional misrepresentation of facts MSM?

Gilad was kidnapped, held in inhumane conditions for 5 years. Israel was held hostage by Hamas, the international community who supported the untold inappropriate ration of terrorist prisoners to one Israeli and the media would have you believe the world should feel compassion for their families. No compassion for the hundreds and hundreds of innocent civilians murdered by these barbarians. The media speaks not one negative word about the celebrations in the Arab villages.

The MSM speaks nothing about the inappropriateness of dancing and celebration by Arab “leaders” for having murderers released unjustly. No, instead they pitch how now maybe the Israelis may be ready to re-engage in talks with these ruthless people. Yet another lie-you know and I know we in Israel have not been the ones to negotiate-tell the MSM to stop supporting terrorists with their distortions.

Post # 1,876,432,767 by ACLG that totally misses the point.

Congrats, I would say sir but _____________.

Reread, the thread is bashing the media for not accurately reporting on the exchange, that's why the explanation in the original post and by extension that's why I have to explain the post to you.

can you blame LG for assuming it? no. no you can't.

Well yes I can and btw, you know the old adage
about assumtions don't you?

Including your own frequent assumptions.

ACLG is no artist, he paints with a very broad brush
and does it so poorly I wouldn't hire him to paint
the back of my wood shed.

The only excuse for some of the more absurd
assumtions that occur frequently on this board
is that people are bombarded 24 - 7 with media
propaganda.

Back to the topic.

RubinReports: The Simplest Thing in the World to Understand: Why There Isn't Israel-Palestinian Peace

The PA wants everything, an independent state on
all the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem with
no restrictions, no recognition of Israel as a Jewish
state, no serious security guarantees, no limits on
militarization, no agreement that this means an end
of the conflict, no insistence that Palestinian refugees
be resettled in the state of Palestine, and nothing to
prevent them from pursuing a second stage of wiping
Israel off the map entirely.

A short tutorial on the history of the west bank.

Judea and Samaria were only called the west bank
after the Jordanian invasion of israel in 1949,
which they held only until 1967.

During that time they destroyed Jewish homes and
houses of study and worship, even going so far as
to destroy ancient and even recent burial sites.

They did the same in East Jerusalem.

As a matter of fact no one called the area Palestine
until the British revivved the Roman term for the
area, evoking the Philistines, the old enemy of
the Hebrews which is an insult to them and meant
to be so from when the Romans gave it that name.

Another assumption by you and ACLG is that Arab
automatically = Moslem.

Over 20% of the Arabs living in pre 1967 Israel are
Arabs. Most if not nearly all are Christian Arabs.

I know an Arab living in Bethlehem, just a few short
miles from the area under Jewish control. It would
be far better for him, as a Christian Arab to be under
Israeli control than the PA and increasing Hamas
pressure.

In some ways it is worse for an Arab Christian to
live under moslem rule than for the Copts of Egypt
which have badly oppressed by moslem Arabs for
1,500 years.

More than 100 of the 477 prisoners released in the first phase of the exchange were taken to the West Bank. The rest were brought to Gaza, apart from 41 who were due to fly out from Cairo to exile in Turkey, Syria or Qatar.

Hamas and other Gaza militant groups have vowed to seize more Israeli hostages for exchange until all 5,000 Palestinians still in Israeli prisons are released.

"The rest of the prisoners must be released because if they are not released in a normal way they will be released in other ways," said Hamas deputy leader Abu Marzouk.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch house, the Hamas front group, CAIR, raised $400,000 last weekend for their political effort in America. (as well as providing further support for their brothers in the mideast not already provided by Barry and Hitlery.)

In another low key trade, the Israelis have released
25 Egyptian citizens for one American/Israeli citizen
held in an Egyptian prison on charges of spying.

Some have conjectured that these trades, along
with America compleltely withdrawing from Irag
is a 'clearing the deck' operation.

On a battleship the decks must be cleared before
opening fire because anyone on deck would be
sucked right off into the sea by the vacuum
created by those 16" guns being fired.

In other words conjecture is that in the not to
distant future the green light may be given to
the Israelies to make an air strike on Iranian
nuclear facilities to prevent their production of
nuclear weapons which could be dilivered to
Israel via their very capable missle arsonel
provided by North Korea and their own ingenuity.

We shall see.

We shall see.
