What did he say?

I give you guys respect and indeed my biggest concern is some sort of gaffe by our offense early, like big penalties or a turnover, letting that crowd get on top of us like an Earthquake. Florida's best chance at victory is to score early and often and get the crowd out of it. It should be an amazing sight (and sound). I would not take the kiddies ot this one if you don't want their hearing damaged.

whoever the strong safety is said " we really want to go in somebodys else's house and take their cheese. Make a sandwich in the kitchen" then he goes on to say after bein asked what kind of sandwich... " I want ham and cheese, a little turkey, mustard and mayonaisse" what an idiot...!!! i only hope he plays special teams so he gets a chance to get rocked

Yeah, Tennessee never gets any respect around the country. They think were all a bunch of tobacco chewing barefoot hillbillies that only care about one thing--Vol football. (Now, they may be kinda right), but Florida really aint that much different. and i'm not talking about all the old people that retire there from other parts of hte country.

anyways, go VOls!

One of their defensive players said they planned on getting a shut out against us this Sat.

That quote should go front and center on the Vol bulletin board

A shut out? I feel a little better knowing their players are borderline delusional.

Yeah I've heard Florida fans calling us Rednecks before.:post-4-1090547912:

IF that aint the Gainesville Kettle calling the Knoxville Pot Black.

That quote was taken out of context. Here's the more full context (which shows that it wasn't directed specifically at UT, but more about the Gators making a statement on the road this year in general (unlike last year).

When Bates (of the '96 UF NC team) talked to the players a few weeks ago, he said the Gators had great road success in the 1990s because they were confident and tough. Those UF teams went into opposing stadiums expecting to win and they buried some good teams.

"That is really where we want to get," junior strong safety Tony Joiner said. "We really want to go into somebody else's house and take their cheese. Make a sandwich in their kitchen."

But it's not nearly as juicy as bulletin board material if you take it in context, is it?

well, duh, that doesnt get anyone worked up now does it?
I think a UF player said something about every vol player's mama...let's get that put on the the board

They probably could go into somebody else's house and steal the cheese if the played one of those early season powerhouses like Central Florida on the road.

Powerhouses or not, I think Florida is very capable of scoring some big points, which is why I truly hope our D comes to play! Last Saturday may've been somewhat of an abberation - not to take anything away from a fine AF offense - and let's face it, any SEC team used to defending traditional old-school type offenses would have trouble with AF imo. Our D was brilliant against Cal..if we can match that intensity against the Gators and Ainge stays on track..could be a backker-spittin, knee-slappin', loogy-hockin', flannel-wearin', pig-chasin', sister-kissin' good time!! LOL

Nope. A later comment was that he thought there would be more shut outs. He was asked like against Tennessee and he responded "yes".
