Looks like the ACC is better than the SEC debate is taking a big hit tonight. If the Noles hold on it will be the second time in a few yrs that the ACC has sent a 4 loss team to a BCS game..Noles both times.

Empty seats, and the fact that the 6th place SEC team took the Noles to the shed last week doesn't fare well.

I think it's a bad location. Are they going to have the ACCCG in Jacksonville every year? That's not right if they do.

BTW, I'm very disappointed in the boys from VPI tonight. They've just looked horrible. :disappointed:

As spread out as the ACC is from North to South, you'd think they would go for a more central location like Charlotte.

BTW - What the heck is up with all the blowouts today?

Unexciting plus it's just kind of hard for me to get pumped about college football right now.

This whole day has been a nightmare. I feel sick to my stomach.

Vince Young this and Vince Young that. Mack Brown blah blah blah. Texas wins. Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart this and that USC wins. USC and Texas are great blah blah blah blah. Bobby Bowden...."there's the face of a coach" blah blah blah. Where has this Florida State team been blah blah blah.

Don't even get me started on the SECCG.

:ill_h4h: :mf_surrender: :shakehead: :realmad: :yuck: :disappointed:

While we're sitting around waiting for next season... :banghead:

Isn't it funny how suddenly after years of wetting the bed in big games, suddenly Mack Brown is a genius.

i dont think the location is bad, that city is huge. I think its more of the game doesnt reall appeal. I mean come on fl state suck this year and they were playing. plus i dont think the acc gots the fan base like the rest of the conferences. like miami univesity hardly ever sells out...

Yeah, that talented team would make ANY coach look good.

I think that was a catch on the 2 point conversion. Are these SEC refs?? Vick should've run the ball in. I'm still not giving up on the Hokies. I have seen games where they score 21 in 3 minutes. I hate the criminoles...

I'm not saying Jacksonville is a bad city . . . It's just a mighty long haul for a lot of fans, but I think you're right about some of the fan bases not being as large.

Still, there's no excuse for a game in Jacksonville involving Florida State to not sellout.

....and I agree OWB. I think Va Tech got jobbed on that review.

Just think about Boston College. If they ever get into the ACC game, nobody will want to travel to Florida from Mass....that's just crazy.

HOW CAN MORGAN DROP THAT BALL???? LORD... :realmad:

That was just one of the worst drops I've ver seen a receiver have. It looked like one of our receivers out there.

Exactly . . . It's asking a lot for BC, Maryland, Va Tech and Virginia to bring 35-40,000 fans to Jacksonville, FL. It's an OK place, bit it ain't exactly a destination.

Well, he almost made up for it. The other one would've been a touch. That was a definite Tennessee drop. Tech has me reminded me of our fair team a lot tonight.

These refs have it out for the Hokies tonight. That's another thing that reminds me of Tennessee ball.

I think Beamer made a tactical error when he went for 2 the first time. There was way too much time left.

If Tech would've just kicked the extra point both times, they would only be down 10. That's something to think about.

That last one was all Vick's fault. What the heck was he thinking spiking the ball?? He got a 15 yard penalty and a twisted ankle for his trouble.

I know. I can't believe that some Hokie fans are worried about him going pro after this season. GET REAL. He did some growing up off the field when he was suspended, but he needs to do a lot of growing up ON the field now. No way he goes pro this year. I don't think anyone would take him.

You know, if they're going to call that catch that King made out because his toe was on the line, they need to go back and look at that play where FSU downed the ball on the one after a punt. His shoe kicked up white chalk. Know what that means refs??
