ACC tourny format

Please do not move this thread, since ot is college baseball related. I want to get some info foe those in the know. I heard some guys bashing it on the Clemson station down here. Are there unnecessary games. Heard it was dumb.

The SEC format is pretty darn good, IYAM.

Not sure if this is what your asking, but for traditional power house baseball teams, lots of those coaches and fans would like to skip the Conference Championships, say a team this year like ND, right on the cusp of being a top 8 seed...go there and lose and end up falling, where as LSU needs to win a couple just to get to a regional.

Corbin recently said Do you remember who won the 2017 SEC Tourney, but everybody remembers who won the 2017 CWS.

I don’t necessarily disagree with Corbin but it’s kind rich coming from considering he’s made like 5 championship game appearances. Perhaps they never really try and still march through but I don’t buy this coach speak from the “baseball schools” that they don’t really care about Hoover. DVH is one as well, yet in a tight ball game against Vandy he brought in Kopps to secure the win after he already said Kopps would be put on ice this week. It took him all of 16 innings to change his mind.
