Looking at trying a transit service taking elderly people to and from their doctor appointments.

This is something totally new to me , but I'm really interested in trying it.

I'm assuming I'll need to get a business license, special vehicle insurance, billing software, and such.

Like I said, I have no experience whatsoever in being a business owner.

I'm at a point in my life financially where I can try something like this.

Looking for any info and advice I can find.

If in Knox County/Knoxville you’d be competing with CAC and they only charge $3 or $4. Also Uber and Lyft. You might have better luck trying to find medical providers to contract with. Regulation wise you’re going to have to deal with COVID-19. Nursing, rehab, and assisted living facilities are taking extreme measures right now as are medical service providers. Good luck. The demographics of more old people work in your favor.
