Sorry if this is not the appropriate place for this.

There are several scenarios being tossed about for a neutral game during the playoffs. I believe this is due to the cancellation of the Bills-Bengals game.

I believe it would be great for UT to have a game at Neyland. I believe there would be a huge turnout to see an NFL Playoff game for folks in our area. Thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea, if I had to guess, the continued improvements during the off-season have already started.

Umm if they wanna have a playoff game there why not? That would be great for the city and the University exposure is priceless.

Because get off my lawn, that's why :D Perhaps you're right. I just balk at the thought of a team other than the Vols headlining in Neyland.

FWIW, if I remember correctly Oilers/Titans and Redskins played at Neyland in 94 or 95. And they hosted the High School Jamboree long as I remember.......just throwing it out there, not trying to pick at ya.

This guy might have in issue with game being played at this time of year and causing damage to the turf. Not sure of the grass type on Shields Watkins but it was probably selected assuming the last game would occur at Thanksgiving then be left unused all winter

I didn't know they ended the Jamboree. Playing a quarter against Carter on Shields Watkin's field is one of my favorite memories. I rolled their right guard and center up a couple of times.

I remember playing on the tartan surface in HS. Long time ago. You could drive tanks on the tartan with no damage. It was like a layer of rough felt over an interstate highway. I guess they quit because they installed a natural turf and that costs money to repair.
