Tennessee finally hires the man they should have hired in 2007.

I have to admit, I've never really followed our baseball program very closely; but just enough to know what was going on and how these last several years under Retar...er... Raleigh hurt us. I'm very excited about Serrano.

I just hope he gets a degree before he's done here.

I haven't been this excited about a Tennessee baseball season in a long time. I am pumped about Serrano.

It sucks I won't be able to make today's opening game b/c of work but I'll be there tomorrow & if the weather holds off I'll be there Sunday as well. Go Vols!

I would guess we see a DH on Saturday with the weather issue to deal with.

I wish I lived closer so I could be there, but I plan to catch them when they come closer to Middle Tennessee. Today I will have to settle for Austin Peay's opener. Go Vols! :)

Will do. We (APSU) are picked to win the OVC, so hopefully it is a good game. I believe UT and APSU meet up later in the year as well.

quick FYI, Sunday's game cancelled due to impending inclement weather. Double header on Sat with the first pitch at noon.

2 and a half hours to go! I have been waiting on the opener ever since Serrano was hired.

It would be awesome if you could update us on VN as well. I don't do Twitter and I can't go tonight because of work. Maybe someone could start a game thread like they do for Football and Basketball.

I should be able to update for a while, I can watch while here at work. I will try to as long as I can.
