I think a decent portion of the fanbase had the logical worry that Coach Martin's "style" would not translate to fans well to a football school and that we would struggle to bring in fans and big time TV games. The games wouldn't be exciting and fun, and in turn, we would not have the same following as with the previous regime.

I think after this season we don't have to worry about this. We finished top five in attendance. The atmosphere for the end games were very good, especially today's. The team was very fun to watch, especially their intensity. I had more "fun" this season since watching this basketball other than the first season with Bruce.

So what say you VN? I think Martin passes this test.

Than the Elite Eight run? Interesting. Love CCM's coaching style. It's going to be fun to watch in the future.

Considering what CCM walked into for this gig, the atmosphere of the program, and the overall gloomy outlook this season has been an amazing success.

We all know it comes down to winning and losing, but the way he has these kids playing above their expectations says something. The last two months this team has made leaps and bounds in improvement.

Another thing, this team is actually fun to watch play defense. That's a rarity in today's world of prima donna programs.

Those were fun for Kansas/Kentucky, and three games. The rest were stressful, and bringing up Tyler Smith every game and the incident wasn't fun.

Coach Martin has done well, nobody expected much and he's surpassed that. Let's not go nuts...I'm thrilled with the job he's done. He got Stokes. Maymon played his heart out. Golden at the point, exceeded any expectation, Tatum has improved, McBee is better...then there's McRae, Richardson...he disciplined Hall...nobody expected the elite 8, nobody expected a top 5 SEC finish. REMARKABLE!

My daughter was born 2/20. Vols are undefeated since. We will win SEC Tourney and NCAA Tourney

You know, this reminds me. I always liked Mike Hamilton, and still do. He made a lot of good hires in my opinion. Bruce Pearl was a good hire. Still think Dooley may turn out to be a good hire. Cuonzo Martin was a good hire. And, regarding coaching and recruiting, Lane Kiffin was a good hire (what he did on the trail and on the field with us and with USC this year has shown his ability). It's true that both Pearl and Kiffin messed over Hamilton, and perhaps Hamilton bears some responsibility for lack of proper oversight, but I still think Hamilton was wiser than he is often give credit for--both in hiring and fiscal matters.

Left out Serrano, or was that Croan? I'm thinking it's croan. My mistake.

Coach Serrano:

“@DaveSerranoUT: As excited as I am about what our team did today against Texas. I may be more excited about Cuonzo and his team. Great day to be a Vol!”

I like defense a lot. I also like it when we slam dunk the ball. I think if coach can bring more of this next year, fans like me and Thrasher864 will come out and watch games live at Tba.

I really like the way coach is making the guys better people off the field. I want them all to be great citizens and vols for life!

There is an absolutely an amazing amount of support within the entire AD. These coaches cheer for each other just as much as they cheer for themselves.
