After The Texas Loss To Iowa State

The fact that somebody leaked this does not bode well for Sark.

Didn't the Texas players have their panties in a wad about the school song not long ago?

All in all, speaks to a lack of focus by the players on you know-actual football games, practice, etc.

Lol, these kids thinking they’ll get some sort of fame for showing what used to be normal in locker rooms, team busses, and especially on the field.

Credit to the coach for calling out the ones who don’t care if they win or lose. Why? The coaches get fired the players can just move on to another school with zero consequences.

Coach getting fired isnt the end of the world. Usually get a nice severance.

Until performance is included as a "for cause" coaches getting fired isnt bad.

I think the kid that filmed it should feel lucky to still be in the team. You shouldn’t violate the trust of the locker room like that.

Yep.

If you played organized team sports at any level for any period of time, chances are you’ve been on the receiving end of a coach calling out the entire team for underperforming like that.

Back in the day it was motivation, today it’s content to post on social media.

I’ve been on the receiving end of something like that, directed at me personally. True story: I was in 9th grade, My eye sight was getting to the point where I needed contacts or glasses. There was about 2.5 seconds left in the half and my coach called an inbounds play under the basket. I called a different play bc I couldn’t see the hand signal play call. We didn’t execute and the half ended with a turnover or something. He went off on me in front of the entire team, threw a marker at me, called me every name in the book, it was a complete dressing down. To this day I don’t know how I held it together, but my teammates respected the hell out of me for taking it and then going out and playing a mistake free half.

The University of Texas football program will have a rude awakening when they join the SEC if they continue to play in the manner they do today.

I'm not sold on Sark being the solution there.

Not that I believe he is a bad coach, but he's a better coordinator than HC. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I agree though, Texas is in for a very rude awakening if they believe that the SEC is going to be like the B12. Quite frankly, in the SEC you have to play a 900 lb gorilla every week or two and not on a once yearly thing like with them and Oklahoma.

I believe the Sooners will be fine. Probably no way they go 12-0 or 11-1 every year like they do now, but routine 9 win seasons should be within their grasp.

Texas? If they play .500 ball in the B12, imagine how rough life is going to be for them in a few years.
