By Verdell Jones III, do you think Hat is man enough to admit he was wrong? He continues to deny that letting Daniel West take the scholarship over Verdell was a big mistake. I just wonder if after this 17 point performance in the Garden, on national TV, against Pitt, what his opinions still are of "the guy that won't start his Sophomore season."

(Hat, this is about 50% gloating, and 50% honestly asking your opinion.)

Until Daniel West lands at a D-I school and plays, it's tough to say Tennessee made an evaluation mistake. Jones has certainly played well of late, though I'm pretty sure the idea you floated of him entering the NBA Draft early isn't going to come to fruition.

I said after Junior season though. Which if you look at how much muscle he has added (which was his biggest fault out of high school.) He could be on his way. I'm just saying, I'd rather have Verdell coming off our bench right now, than D. West who is M.I.A. as long as I am concerned. I think Pearl made a mistake.

Obviously, I'm not Jones' biggest fan. That said, he'd be starting at Tennessee right now.

Yea, That is what I was afraid of. He doesn't miss a shot if he is open, and he loves passing and distributing. I'd be fine with Maze over him for this season, but the next 2 years I don't see us getting anyone better? Unless Golden or McRae can be point guards?
